The first Friday night in October brings week number six of the high school football tonight.
The Hawks of West Delaware return to Brown Field for their 2013 homecoming contest against non-district foe Maquoketa. Hawks head coach Doug Winkowitsch expects his team to use last week’s loss and the atmosphere this week provides as motivation to improve on the field:

WINK1 10-4

Both the Hawks and Cardinals are 4-1. All the action heard tonight here from KMCH Sports with Jamie, Aaron and Bill after the Smitty’s Football Friday Night Pregame show starting at 7pm with Sports Director Jon Swisher.

Our area online and playback game of the week features Monticello as they travel to Center Point taking on CP-U in a battle of class 2A district 4 teams who each only have 1 loss and are in the five-team post-season race . First-year Panther head coach Jon Kyte stresses the importance of being ready for every game especially when it comes to a quality CP-U squad on the road:

KYTE1 10-4
