Week seven of the high football season is tonight across the state.  The West Delaware Hawks jump back into district 5 play as they travel to Vinton to take on Vinton Shellsburg. Hawks head coach Doug Winkowitsch syas his team realizes that the one game at a time mindset is the way they have to approach the remaining three weeks of the season:

The Hawks are tied for 2nd with Crestwood while the Vikings are in a three-team tie for fourth place with Independence and Western Dubuque.  Airtime tonight with Jamie, Aaron and Bill after the Smitty’s Football Friday night pregame show with Sports Director Jon Swisher at 7pm.

Our area online and playback game of the week is Western Dubuque hosting DeWitt in Epworth for non-district action. Kevin Schuchmann and Dan McClean will have the call around 7:30pm on KMCH.com and played back after the West Delaware game.
