The Delaware Crossing Scenic Byway Board would like your input. On Tuesday night, the Board will host a meeting to gather information from the community for their Corridor Management Plan. The meeting is a chance for participants to learn more about the Delaware Crossing Scenic Byway, which is a 36-mile Iowa Scenic Byway that travels through Delaware County and the communities of Manchester, Delaware, Delhi, Hopkinton and Lake Delhi. The Board is partnering with byway boards from across the state in a statewide initiative to help travelers find and explore the best roadways in the state and help the byway communities get the most economic benefits they can. This Corridor Management Plan will be used to guide the Board’s work and help them secure grant funding for partners and communities along the byway. They’re looking for input from the public on three specific areas – history, recreation and roadside vegetation. Tuesday’s meeting will be held at the Lenox College/Delaware County Historical Museum gymnasium in Hopkinton at 6 pm.
