New Entrance at MV High School

Img_1858There’s a new entrance at Maquoketa Valley High School in Delhi. Superintendent Doug Tuetken says they replaced all the old cement with a colored stamped cement. The brick on the front of the high school has also been covered with a colored coat of textured cement. And a couple of MV supporters – Rick and Eric Rave and their families – donated the stamping and cement around the flag pole area. The work, which was recently completed, was recognized at the school board meeting earlier this week.
In other Maquoketa Valley news, Superintendent Tuetken has applied for and received a planning grant for the Teacher Career Pathways. An initial meeting with board members, staff and administration is planned for Friday to start establishing protocols.
The MV school district has also certified their enrollment data. School officials say it appears that the district is seeing a decline of about 28 students for this school year.
