Beckman Gets District 4 Championship For 3rd year In A Row

Beckman enters the football post-season as the Class 2A District 4 Champs for the third year in a row. It came down to Friday night’s game against rival Cascade, with the Blazers winning 42 to 6.  Beckman Coach Gregg Hammann told KMCH after the game he was proud of how his boys played.

One of the highlights of the night was Logan Kruse’s touchdown off a blocked punt.

With two back-to-back losses early in the season and injuries to several players, a District title seemed questionable… but senior Mitch Steger says they just took it one game at a time to reach their goal.

The Blazers will be back in action when they host Hampton-Dumont in the first round of playoffs Wednesday night.
