It’s Halloween… and there are a few ways you can celebrate the holiday tonight. The “Feargrounds” Haunted Barn will once again be open tonight and tomorrow night at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester. Chamber Director Jack Klaus says there are two different times you can choose from depending on how much of a “scare” you’re looking for. You can find more info about the Haunted Barn on the KMCH Community Message Board.
In Independence tonight, it’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat from 4 to 5:30 pm at the local businesses, along with a costume parade through Main Street that everyone’s welcome to participate in. And in Edgewood, a Halloween party will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, starting at FE Welterlen Motors and parading to Sweet Dreams Campground, with prizes for best costumes.
And many communities will be holding trick-or-treat hours tonight… in Strawberry Point, it’s from 4:30 to 7 pm; in Manchester, Edgewood, Ryan and Dundee, it’s from 5 to 7 pm; Earlville’s trick-or-treat hours are 5 to 6:30 pm; and in Dyersville and Independence, it’s from 5:30 to 7:30 pm tonight.
And we’ve gotten word that some of the businesses around the area are dressing up for Halloween today… Everyone’s invited to send their Halloween costume photos to us at firstname.lastname@example.org or through our KMCH Facebook page. We’ve gotten a few photos in already – check out our KMCH Facebook page!
