Hawks Volleyball Team Upset At State Tournament

The third seeded West Delaware Hawks Volleyball team was upset by sixth seeded Davenport Assumption Tuesday afternoon inside the US Cellular Center three games to two. After being down two games a hard fought effort was denied, after the Hawks rallied for two wins, when the Knights used a 10-0 run in game 5 to propel them to the victory. Head coach Brett Mather shares his thoughts after the emotionally draining match:

The Hawks end their tremendous season at 37-6 in matches and 87-20 in sets, as the third ranked team in class 4A.
