Marvin C. Bosler, 91, of Manchester, Iowa, died on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester. He was born on January 25, 1922, in Ferdinand, Indiana, the son of Ernest and Claire ( ) Bosler. Marvin was raised and educated in the area.
On August 25, 1941, Marvin was united in marriage to Harriet Moreland in Dyersville. One son was born to this union. Together they farmed near Dyersville, Manchester, and Ryan. They retired from farm in 1974 and moved to Manchester in 1981. Harriet died in 1996. Marvin was united in marriage to Rosemary Hillers on April 12, 2003, and resided in Manchester.
Marvin was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary of Manchester; one granddaughter, Tina (Bosler) Waggoner of Cedar Rapids; a great-grandson, Ryker Bosler Waggoner; nine step-children; 25 step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Marvin was preceded in death by his first wife, Harriet; his son, Bryan Bosler; and his parents.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manchester, Iowa. Celebrant: Rev. Joseph Schneider.
VISITATION: Friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester with a 1:00 p.m. Scripture Service. Friends may also call one hour before the Mass at the church on Monday.
