Delaware County’s Construction Work Wrapped Up for 2013

pavingroad_smallConstruction work has wrapped up in Delaware County for the year. The last project of 2013 was the Winch Bridge project, which was completed last week. Delaware County Engineer Anthony Bardgett says they ended up building four bridges and one concrete box culvert this year. They also paved about eight miles of roads. And many of the county’s gravel roads got a little facelift, with around one-million dollars worth of rock laid down on gravel roads this year. Bardgett says he feels it was a very productive year for road and bridge work, despite all the challenges Delaware County faced with the spring flooding.
