High School Sports Slated For Friday

Area teams involved in the AM session include Independence and Western Dubuque. The Mustangs took on Crestwood then either Linn-Mar or Waterloo Columbus. The Bobcats faced Mason City then either Waverly-Shell Rock or Waterloo East. We’ll have live coverage on KMCH.com with Jamie Vaske and Roger Reed starting around 5pm. The West Delaware Hawks, will compete in the PM session with contests, taking on OABCIG then either Clear Lake or Charles City. Alburnett will start with Indianola then either Waterloo West or Davenport Assumption. All the teams will be back at Young Arena on Saturday, when they wrestle depends on how they fare today.

The Battle of Waterloo Tournament for Friday, December 20, had a delayed start.  Wrestling at Young Arena started  at 11 AM.  Weigh-ins for the Friday second session will begin at 4 PM and wrestling will begin at 5 PM.   For schedule and detailed information, visit the Battle of Waterloo website:

In high school basketball scheduled for tonight: everything has been postponed around the area to our knowledge.

The Ed-Co varsity games against Turkey Valley have been rescheduled for Thursday night Jan. 16th.
