Winter Weather Returns After Brief Warm-up

After a few days of warmer temperatures, we got another taste of winter today. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 pm tonight, with many areas near and along Highway 20 receiving at least an inch or two of snow. Strong winds up to 45 miles an hour have caused blowing snow all day, leading to reduced visibilities and slick roads. Several accidents have been reported across the area, including in Fayette County where a car rolled onto its top on Highway 18 just east of West Union. No one was injured in that accident. Several schools had late starts this morning, and a couple others dismissed early, including Starmont and Ed-Co.
