In boys play;

The West Delaware Hawks battled the class 3A 6th-ranked Solon Spartans on the road last night. The Hawks propelled themselves back into the game with a 14-1 run midway through the 2nd quarter as they only trailed by two at halftime after a slow start. Too many turnovers and inconsistent offense led to the Hawks not being able to stay with the Spartans in the second half losing 56-36. They dropped to 4-7 overall, 2-6 in the WaMaC and will stay on the road Friday night in Tiffin taking on Clear Creek Amana.
