Harold G. Nieman, Manchester formerly of Delhi

Harold G. Nieman, 92, of Manchester formerly of Delhi, went to be with the Lord January 20, 2014 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at the United Parish Church in Earlville by Pastor Jill Mack .  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home in Earlville.  Additional visitation, one hour before services at the Church.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.

Harold was born July 28, 1921 in Delhi, the son of August and Mary (Steva) Nieman.  On August 22, 1948, Harold was united in marriage to Bernadine Carpenter at the First Lutheran Church in Manchester.  The couple farmed in the Delhi area their entire lives.

Harold was a member of Farm Bureau and the Presbyterian Church in Hopkinton.  Harold was a hard worker his entire life and above all, was fair and honest.  His greatest enjoyments were working the land and his family.

Harold is survived by five children, Wayne (Chris) Nieman of Richardson, TX, Sharon (Mike) Osweiler of Chandler, AZ, Ralph (Reva) Nieman of Delhi, Gary (Zeta) Nieman of Manchester, and Annette (Mike) Farrell of Ottumwa; 12 grandchildren, Justin (Kate) Nieman, Kevin (Melissa) Nieman, Emily (Danny) Muteb, Amber Nieman, Matthew ( Nicole) Nieman, Amanda Nieman, Lisa (Josh) Snow, Andrea Nieman, Dan Osweiler, Stuart Osweiler, Michelle Farrell, and Kelly Farrell; 13 great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadine in October 2010; his parents; and eight siblings.
