Timothy Boge, Manchester

Timothy BogeTimothy “Tim” J. Boge, 49, of Manchester, formerly of Greeley, died at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Friday, January 17, 2014, surrounded by his family.

 Tim was born on August 31, 1964, in Greeley, Iowa, the son of Merlyn and Darlene (Nurre) Boge.  He attended Greeley Elementary School and graduated from West Delaware High School in 1982.   Following graduation he worked in the heating, plumbing, and electrical field, owning his own business in Greeley.  He also worked at Super Wash in Morrison, Illinois, Pool Tech in Cedar Rapids, and currently was with Bob’s Plumbing and Heating.

On June 10, 1995, Tim married Kim Scheppers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Greeley.  They later divorced.

 Tim enjoyed spending time with friends at Hartridge, Nascar Racing, and grilling a porterhouse steak.  His family meant everything to him, never missing an opportunity of teasing or getting in the last word.

 Tim will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

 Survivors include his parents, Merlyn and Darlene Boge of Greeley; one sister, Carolyn (Ed) Becker of Earlville and sons Patrick and Morgan Rutherfurd of Cedar Rapids; his twin brother, Tom Boge of Manchester and his daughters, Lexie, Tess, and Tyra; aunts and uncles, Bill and Sharon Boge of Dubuque, Jerry Boge of Garnavillo, Ruth Bolsinger of Graham, Barbara (Dave, deceased) Nurre of Elkader, Deanna Nurre of Cedar Rapids, Barbara (Jerry) Cole of Manchester, and Steve (Mary) Nurre of Shanghai, China; and many cousins.

 Tim was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Frances Boge; and maternal grandparents, Floyd and Dorothy Nurre; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral Service:  11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Greeley Community Church in Greeley, Iowa.  Officiating:  Pete Buschmann

 Visitation:  3:00 to 7:00  p.m. on  Tuesday, January 21, 2014,  at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, Iowa.  Also one hour before service at the church on Wednesday.

 Interment:  St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery – Greeley, Iowa
