State Representative Nancy Dunkel of Dyersville announced Thursday that she will seek re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives. Dunkel is serving her first term in House District 57, which includes the western portion of Dubuque County. She currently serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations and Economic Growth Committees, as well as the Transportation, Infrastructure and Capitols Budget Subcommittee. Dunkel says last session, they worked together to grow the middle class by expanding job training at NICC, lowering property taxes for our local businesses and improving education. In a press release issued Thursday, she says she’s looking forward to doing more to grow the rural economy and create good jobs. Dunkel currently serves as the Executive Director of the Dyersville Area Community Foundation. She is retired from Fidelity Bank and Trust and previously worked at State Bank in Worthington and Farley State Bank.
