Mt. Vernon took the top team honors at the boys WAMAC East Division golf meet at Mt. Fire Destroys Storage Building Contents

A trash fire that got out of control ended up destroying a storage building Saturday in Manchester.  Manchester firefighters were called to Sunset Beach just before 5:00 on Saturday afternoon to a fire at 18901 173rd Avenue.  Several household belongings in the building were lost.  Firefighters were on the scene for an hour.

W. Delaware Boys Win Maquoketa Invitational

The West Delaware Boys Golf Team notched another win Wednesday, taking first place in the Maquoketa Invitational.  The Hawks shot a team score of 307 – besting second place Central Dewitt by six strokes.  Marion was third; Cascade fourth; Beckman 5th; Maquoketa was 6th and Bellevue Marquette 7th.  West Delaware’s Clayton Larson took Medalist honors
