Volunteers Needed for Manchester Rhubarb Fest

Mark your calendars for this year’s Rhubarb Fest in Manchester. Rhubarb Fest will be held Saturday, June 7th from 9 am to 1 pm at Baum Park. There will be rhubarb plant and food contests, a rhubarb foodstand, rhubarb wine tasting, a rhubarb store, a craft fair, kids’ activities, music, and a horse-drawn parking shuttle.

Volunteers are needed to help the Dyersville Walking Club Coalition assess the community’s sidewalks next month. Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging, the Iowa Department of Public Health and Iowa State University will be assessing the walkability of Dyersville on Tuesday morning, May 6th. Vendors Welcome for Manchester Farmer’s Market

The Manchester Farmer’s Market is scheduled to open for the season next month. The Farmer’s Market’s first day will be May 24th. It will be held every Saturday from 7 to 10:30 am through this fall in the 100 block of South Tama Street (right next to the Delaware County Courthouse). New vendors are welcome.

Hopes Club Can Drive

Unlimited Services HOPES Club is holding a Can Drive now through August 15th. Just drop your cans off at Cando Redemption Center in Manchester and tell customer services you’d like to donate to the Dayhab HOPES Club Can Drive.

Camp Courageous Garage Sale

The Camp Courageous Garage Sale opens for the season on Monday, April 14th at 913 East Main Street in Manchester. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am to noon. Lots of everything! Proceeds all go to Camp Courageous.


Metals Collection Day Planned for End of April

A Metals Collection Day is planned for later this month as part of Manchester Pride Week. On Saturday morning, April 26th, any area residents and businesses are invited to bring metal items they no longer need to the Metals Collection Day at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. City of Earlville Maintenance Work

The City of Earlville will be doing some noticeable maintenance work this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the City will make repairs to a water main in the isolated area in the northern part of Earlville. That area includes about three blocks of customers. The work may cause some momentary water outages in the area.
