HS Volleyball: West Delaware Improves to 11-1

HS Volleyball: West Delaware Wins Vinton-Shellsburg Invite

The West Delaware volleyball team won the title at the Vinton-Shellsburg tournament on Saturday. In pool play the Hawks went 2-1 as they beat Hampton-Dumont 21-8 in both games, and top ranked in class 1A Janesville 21-18 and 22-20, and lost to Cedar Rapids Jefferson 21-13, 17-21, and 12-15 but still qualified for bracket play.

Golfers Compete in Pin Oak Championship

Thirteen local golfers competed in the Pin Oak Championship in Manchester last Sunday, August 28th. Harry Athas won the tournament after a one-hole sudden death playoff over Mark Guetzko.
