A Clermont man wanted on burglary and assault charges has turned himself in to authorities. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says 41-year old Mathew Durnan turned himself in to their office Tuesday after authorities asked for the public’s help in tracking him down. Durnan is accused of breaking into a woman’s home in Clermont Sunday night and assaulting her, leaving her seriously injured. He took off before authorities arrived at the home. Durnan faces charges of First Degree Burglary, Domestic Abuse Causing Serious Injury and Violation of a No Contact Order. He is currently in jail awaiting his initial court appearance.
