Dean E. Weston, 83, of Manchester, Iowa, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. He was born in Iowa City on October 11, 1930, the son of Cutler and Mabel (Brown) Weston. Dean graduated from the Lamont High School in 1948.
Dean served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. After his discharge he was employed by Ready Mix in Oelwein. On March 30, 1956, Dean was united in marriage to Lula Mae Richards at Marion, Indiana. Together they farmed west of Greeley for 49 years. In 2005 they moved to Manchester.
Dean loved being with his family and grandchildren and enjoyed gardening. He was a longtime member of Cornerstone Community Church where he was a Deacon, Trustee, and teacher of various ages at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Lula Mae of Manchester; three children, Gary (Jane) Weston of Independence, Lois (Scott) Fransen of Hiawatha, and Joyce Weston of Laguna Niguel, California; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Raymond (Cathy) Weston of Independence, Lynne (Georgina) Weston of West Branch, Michigan, Dorothy (Jerry) Kochka of Oakbrook, Illinois, and Marilyn (Lowell) Smith of Pottersville, New York.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Keith Weston; two sisters, Beulah Weston and Joyce Weston in infancy.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday , August 14, 2014, at Cornerstone Community Church in Manchester, Iowa. Officiating: Tim Agrimson
Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester and one hour before service on Thursday at the church.
