Dr. Kohl to Headline Manchester Chamber’s Ag Luncheon

The Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 36th Annual Ag Luncheon on Thursday, March 16 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion.

This year’s program will once again feature Dr. David Kohl, who is heralded as a speaker that is full of energy, wisdom, and is requested year after year. Dr. Kohl, Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Finance and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech, brings his personal involvement with agriculture and interaction with key industry players to provide a unique perspective into the future trends of the agricultural industry and economy that you won’t want to miss.

The day will start out at 10:00 AM with coffee and donuts as Dr. Kohl talks about “Agriculture at the Crossroads”, bringing some insight into the ag economy, the current economic transition and what managers can do to be proactive. The morning session will end around 11:00 and lunch will start promptly at 11:30 with the keynote presentation starting at noon.

The keynote consists of the presentation of the Manchester Area Chamber of Commerce’s Friend of Ag Award, the presentation by the Delaware County Soil and Water Conservation District Commissioners Conservation Awards and Dr. Kohl’s keynote message titled “Connecting the Dots”.
