JKPL: Used Book Sale

January 20 - January 23

The James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville will hold a used book sale in the library basement Friday, January 20th through Monday, January 23rd. Hours are Friday 9 to 5, Saturday 9 to 3, Sunday 1 to 4 and Monday 9 to 7. Bags of books are $2 on the last day of the sale.

Hopkinton Lions Club Bingo

January 22

The Hopkinton Lions Club will host Bingo on Sunday, January 22nd at 1 pm at the Hopkinton Community Center. Doors open at 12:30 pm. Cost is $3 for one card or $5 for two. Free popcorn and lemonade.

A Xavier Affair

January 27

"A Xavier Affair" will be held Friday night, January 27th at Dyersville Commercial Club Park. This is a dinner fundraiser for St. Francis Xavier School in Dyersville. Social hour starts at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 7 pm. $30 per ticket. Silent and live auction following dinner, with music following the live auction. Four raffle drawings for $600 will also be held - do not need to be present to win! Call the school for tickets and more information.

Dad’s Belgian Waffle Extravaganza

Dad's Belgian Waffle Extravaganza will be held Friday, January 27th from 5 to 7 pm. Tickets are $7 in advance or $8 at the door. Advance tickets available through local banks, Starmont senior students or Carmen Stenger at 933-2218. Proceeds benefit Starmont's Dollars for Scholars Scholarship Fund.

The Western Dubuque Dance Camp will host a Dance Camp on Saturday, January 28th from 8:30 to 11 am. Open to Pre-K through 8th grade. $25. Learn a dance routine, receive a t-shirt and perform! Delaware County Economic Development and Delaware County Farm Bureau will be hosting the first 2017 Legislative Coffee in Manchester on Friday, February 3rd at 10 am at the Delaware County Farm Bureau meeting room. Legislators from the area will attend to give an update on the session and take questions from the audience. Everyone is welcome to join in the discussion.

The James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville welcomes back the Die-Laughing Murder Mystery Troupe for another murder mystery dinner fundraiser on Saturday, February 25th! You'll help solve a mystery while laughing and enjoying a delicious meal catered by J&D Mart. Event begins at 6:30 pm at the Dyersville Golf and Country Club.
