Manchester Public Library Summer Reading Kickoff

Calling all superheroes! “Every Hero has a Story!” is this year’s summer reading theme at the Manchester Public Library. The summer reading kick-off is Saturday, May 30th from 10-12 and is open to all ages! They will have face painting, balloons, crafts, and more! That will also be the first day to sign up to get your reading logs and schedule of events that will be running through July 31st.

Manchester Legion Steak Fry

The Manchester American Legion Post 45 Steak Fry will be held Saturday, May 30th from 5 to 8 pm at the Legion on North Franklin Street. Serving a 10-oz ribeye, baked potato, salad and homemade dessert. Proceeds goes towards several causes, including scholarships, assisting local veterans in financial crisis and funeral details for veterans. The Manchester Legion Steak Fry is held the last Saturday of every month April through October.

Hartwick Huskys’ Learn to Ski

The Hartwick Huskys will hold their first Learn to Ski program of the year on Monday, June 1st at 6 pm at Schram Pond in Manchester. Free to attend. Open to all ages and skill levels. Just show up – no equipment necessary!

Share the Harvest will open for its third season on Thursday, June 11 at The Watershed on River Street in Manchester. The organizers would like to remind local gardeners that their homegrown produce can be donated from 4 – 5:30 pm. every Thursday. Distribution will take place from 6 – 7 pm and is open to the public.

Bubble Bash 5K Fundraiser

A Bubble Bash 5K Fundraiser will be held on Sunday, June 14th at 2 pm in Dyersville at Westside Park. This is an untimed run/walk where you can run, walk, or even crawl through stations of colored foam bubbles. 50% of all ticket sales go to the Dyersville Area Relay For Life.
