Friday Night HSBB Wrap-Up

The first Friday night of the new year offered a full slate of area high school basketball. Our featured game from KMCH Sports was the Class 3A, second ranked, 8-0 West Delaware Hawks hosting 6-1 Solon.Both teams were 4-0 and tied for first place at the top of the WaMaC East Division. The West Delaware Hawks were able to get the win last night – the final score 73-59.

On the girls side:

The Class 2A, seventh rated, 11-0 North Linn Lynx hosted Class 1A, top ranked, 9-0 Springville in a battle of the top two teams in the Tri-Rivers Conference with 5-0 records. The Lynx defeated Springville 50-33.

Other girls contests:

The 4-5 West Delaware Hawks travelled to Solon to face the 3-7 Spartans; Solon beat the WD Hawks 47-42.
