The Ed-Co baseball programs’ “Strike Out Cancer” night is tonight with a Upper Iowa Conference varsity doubleheader against MFL-MarMac starting at 5:30pm. The teams will be donning pink jerseys that will be auctioned off in a silent auction throughout the first game. At the beginning of the second game, the silent auction will be over and the game-worn jerseys, along with numerous other items will be sold to the auction winners all in the name of Cancer Research. Historically, the money has gone directly to the American Cancer Society through the Coaches VS. Cancer program, but with the numerous members of the Ed-Co family who are battling Lukemia, the profits from tonight’s events will go directly to research efforts to assist in finding a cure for this disease. The Ed-Co Baseball family is encouraging everyone to come out and support the pink event and help cure the disease that effects so many people.
The 17-4 West Delaware baseball team returns to action tonight at home vs. Vinton-Shellsburg in a WaMaC conference cross-division doubleheader starting at 5:30pm.
