The West Delaware baseball team swept their WaMaC conference doubleheader at Independence last night. Beating the Mustangs 8-2 in game one and 6-1 in the 2nd game. Seth Wedewer and Ty Cassutt got the pitching W’s for the Hawks, Nathan Wegmann, Mitch Demmer and others led the way offensively.

Today in softball, the West Delaware Hawks start their weekend season tournament with the North Fayette Valley Classic Invite in West Union. The Hawks will play Sumner Fredricksburg at 12:30pm, Don Bosco at 4:15pm. Tomorrow they will take on Lansing Kee at 9am and Waverly Shell Rock at 12:55pm.
