Manchester Community Promotion Board Awards Two Grants

The Manchester Community Promotion Board has awarded two grants totaling 28-hundred dollars for community promotion. The Hartwick Huskys Water Ski Club have received one thousand dollars to help with advertising costs and the purchase of an improved sound system, and the Mancheser Area Chamber of Commerce has received 18-hundred dollars to assist with the marketing of Manchester’s Whitewater Park. Community Promotion grants are funded with a portion of the money that is generated by the City of Manchester’s hotel/motel tax. The grants are available each quarter for profit and non-profit organizations that want to do things to benefit the greater Manchester area by encouraging tourism, retail patronage and community growth. Applications for the next round are due October 15th. Applications are available from the Manchester Chamber or through the Chamber’s website at manchesteriowa.org.
