Millie Lavena (Schueler) Otdoerfer, 83, of Strawberry Point, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home. She was born on November 28, 1930, the daughter of Nicholas and Silvia (Grimm) Schueler, of Atkins, Iowa.
On July 30, 1949, Millie was united in marriage to George Otdoerfer at the First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Old Rugged Cross and Rock of Ages were Millie’s two favorite hymns. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Millie is survived by her daughter, Barbara (William) Palasek of Coralville, two sons, Floyd (Patricia) Otdoerfer of Coralville, and Edward (Deborah) Otdoerfer of Hazelton; six grandchildren; two sisters, Susie Cain of Atkins and Helen Jacobus of Cedar Rapids; and one brother, Russell Schueler of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, on October 26, 1983; her parents; four sisters, Evelyn, Neoma, Lula, and June; three brothers, Johnie, Red, and Edward; and a grandson, Troy.

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the St. Sebald Lutheran Cemetery, rural Strawberry Point, Iowa.
