has been honored with eight Iowa Broadcast News Association awards since
2007 - most recently, with an Overall Excellence 3rd Place award for local
news coverage in 2011. Only three small market radio stations in Iowa
receive an Overall Excellence award each year. KMCH received the same
award in 2009. Past awards have also been given for KMCH's weather coverage,
general reporting, political coverage, in-depth/series reporting and farm/agribusiness
