The top fundraisers for this year’s Delaware County Relay for Life have been announced. The team Family Affair was named the top fundraising team, raising over 65-hundred dollars. Fanks Friends came in second with nearly five-thousand dollars, GNB Bank came in third with nearly three-thousand dollars, and Walkin and Roxen and the Ryan Shamrocks each raised over 28-hundred dollars. The other top fundraising teams were Rockwell Collins, the Manchester Lions Club, Team Wonder Woman, F & M Bank and Hope Faith – with each of those teams raising over two-thousand dollars. The top fundraising individuals were Kimberly Fank at nearly four-thousand dollars, Jen Ries at over 32-hundred dollars, Janice Wilson at just over one-thousand dollars, Tommy Ryan with over 780 dollars and Jane Mesch, who raised just over seven-hundred dollars. This year’s thirty-two teams raised a combined 43-thousand dollars and over 11-hundred luminaries were sold – that’s the most luminaries ever sold at a Delaware County Relay for Life event. And as we told you earlier this week, the committee expects this year’s event raised nearly 70-thousand dollars. The next Delaware County Relay for Life event will be held in 2016.
