The Western Dubuque High School freshman football team has paid tribute to four teenagers killed in a wreck at its first home game. KWWL says the team honored the teens with football sticker helmets that read “Bobcat Strong” during Thursday night’s game against West Delaware. The school’s activities director says the teens were multi-sport athletes. Family friends say some of them played football. The four 14-year-olds were killed in a crash earlier this month when a pickup truck collided with their utility vehicle. The director says the stickers are a way to remember the teens and reflect on the lives lost. The Dubuque County prosecutor says the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
