Manchester Police make Arrests in Major Drug Raid

Manchester Police have arrested two people in a major drug raid. On Tuesday night, officers seized around eight pounds of marijuana, as well as methamphetamine, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia after obtaining a search warrant at a home at 700 West Marion Street. The drugs that were seized could have a street value of up to 25-thousand dollars. Police arrested 44-year old Jeffrey Smock and 43-year old Justin Straw on charges of possessions of marijuana, marijuana with intent to deliver, drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and prescription pills, as well as failure to affix the Iowa Drug Tax Stamp. Both Smock and Straw are being held in the Delaware County Jail. Manchester Police say this drug raid came after a two month investigation, and the investigating will continue.
