West Delaware Superintendent Search Nearing the End

West Delaware officials hope to have a new Superintendent chosen by the end of this week. The final candidates for Superintendent have been meeting with the School Board and other groups this week. West Delaware hopes to make a decision on the position and approve a contract early Friday evening. The district's top position has been vacant since Superintendent Rick Hilbert passed away unexpectedly last November. Doctor Robert Vittengl was named Interim Superintendent in the meantime, with school officials Sue Daker, Ron Goerdt and Ron Swartz sharing responsibilities as well.
