DNR Conducting Fishing Survey on Wapsi in Buchanan County

The Iowa DNR has begun a year-long fishing survey on the Wapsipinicon River in Buchanan County. The survey will focus on a 15-mile segment from the Independence Dam to the Quasqueton Dam. DNR Fisheries Biologist Dan Kirby from the Manchester office says they'll be gathering some important information.

And if you're out fishing on the Wapsi, it's possible you might encounter a "creel clerk" that will ask you about your fishing trip.
This fishing survey is funded through revenue generated by sales of fishing and hunting licenses.
