Jones Reg. Medical Center Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony
04/21/2008
Jones Regional Medical Center will hold a groundbreaking ceremony soon at their new hospital site. The event will be held Friday, May 2nd at the new site, which is east of the Anamosa Family Practice along Highway 64 East. The public is welcome to attend and hear from featured guest speakers, including Anamosa native Dr. John Bailey, as well as Kirk Norris, president of the Iowa Hospital Association. In celebration of one of Jones Regional's new features, a helipad, participants can explore St. Luke's helicopter air ambulance. Although construction of the new hospital will soon be under way, Jones Regional Medical Center is asking for more gifts to help reach its two-point-five million dollar public campaign goal. The hospital is expected to be completed by the fall of 2009. Jones Regional serves more than 35-hundred patients each month from Jones County and the surrounding areas.
