Keno Davis gets coach of the year award from Basketball Times

     DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Drake men's basketball coach Keno Davis
has been named Men's Basketball National Coach of the Year by the
Basketball Times.
     It's the first-year coach's third national award. He had
previously been named coach of the year by The Sporting News and
the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
     Davis led Drake to a 28-4 record. The Bulldogs won the Missouri
Valley Conference regular season championship and the conference
tournament championship before losing to Western Kentucky in the
first round of the NCAA tournament.
