IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Iowa wraps up spring football practice on
Saturday, facing empty slots and injuries.
The Hawkeyes still have a number of spots to fill, but coach
Kirk Ferentz says a number of players are making strides. Those
include Bradley Fletcher at cornerback and Paki (PAH'-kee) O'Meara
at running back.
The competition continues to be tight at linebacker and the
offensive line.
Meanwhile, offensive lineman Seth Olson has been bothered by a
muscle problem and won't play on Saturday. Wide receiver Derrell
Johnson-Koulianos (KOU'-lee-AUN'-os) is also out with an
undisclosed injury.
Saturday's open practice at Kinnick Stadium is at 1 p.m.
