Manchester Man Charged with Attempted Murder Pleads Not Guilty

A court hearing has been set for a Manchester man who shot at a police officer and his landlord last month.

33-year old Kenneth Noble was charged with two counts of Attempted Murder after the incident on February 20th. He has pleaded not guilty.

Manchester Police were called to an apartment at 308 ½ North Brewer Street in Manchester after the property owner requested assistance to enter the apartment to make repairs. As the property owner entered the apartment, Noble fired a gun, nearly striking the property owner in the head.

The police officer, Captain Rick Carnicle, advanced his position and Noble fired the gun in his direction. Carnicle returned the gunfire in self-defense.

No one was injured during the gunfire exchange and Noble was taken into custody.

His hearing has been set for April 21st, with jury trial scheduled to begin May 6th.
