Manchester Businesses Still Accessible During Street Construction

Work on the main four corners in downtown Manchester is expected to last until Wednesday.

Crews pushed up their construction schedule on the Highway 13 Street Improvement Project by several weeks so they could work on the major intersection while traffic was down due to the pandemic. It also worked out well because some businesses have been closed during this time, but Chamber Director Jessica Pape wants everyone to know that the businesses that remain open are still accessible despite the road construction.

City engineer Ryan Wicks from Fehr Graham says current traffic control will remain in place until work at Main and Franklin is completed. Flaggers and pilot cars will be used as asphalt paving continues.

The Manchester Highway 13 Street Improvement Project will last for several more months throughout the construction season.
