North Linn Boys See Season Come to End

The North Linn Lynx Baseball team had their season come to an end last night at the hands of the Lions of Des Moines Christian in a Class 2A semifinal at Principal Park in Des Moines. Down 2-1 in the 7th, the Lynx battled back to tie the game up and sent it to extra innings. DMC scored 2 in the 8th to win 4-2 in 8 innings.

The Lynx were denied an appearance in their 2nd championship game and fell to 19-3. They say goodbye to 4 seniors.

In Fort Dodge at the state softball tournament:

Cedar Rapids Kennedy won the 5A title beating Fort Dodge 5-1. In 4A, Winterset beat Carlisle 4-3.

Today the rest of the championships will be held including the No. 1 unbeaten North Linn Lynx facing #3 Ogden in the 2A title contest at 5pm. The defending champion Lynx have won 31 in a row.
