Trick-or-Treating On in Manchester

There will be trick-or-treating in Manchester this year.

Last night, the Manchester City Council chose to move ahead with plans to celebrate the holiday.

The City says calls have been starting to come in wondering whether trick-or-treating would be held in Manchester. Concerns over COVID-19 have led some communities in Iowa to cancel trick-or-treating this year, but many area towns are choosing to hold it – including Dyersville and Delhi.

City officials and council members agreed that as in the past, any homes that do not want to participate should simply leave their lights off that night so trick-or-treaters know not to stop at their residence. They added it is up to the parents’ discretion in determining your children’s safety in participating this year.

Manchester’s trick-or-treat is set for Halloween night, Saturday, October 31st from 5 to 7 pm.
