West Delaware is in its fourth week of the new school year and doing their best to function in the midst of a pandemic.
The school currently has two positive cases of COVID-19 and twenty-five students and one staff member who in quarantine. Superintendent Dr. Kristen Rickey says overall, things have been going pretty well.
Even though efforts to navigate COVID-19 has taken a big chunk of their time and efforts this year, the West Delaware School District is still moving forward with their facilities planning for the future. The school board received an update on the progress at their meeting Monday night.
And some good news for West Delaware – they were notified by the USDA that they are now allowed to serve free breakfast and lunch to all students.
