HS Wrestling: West Delaware Hosts WaMaC Double Dual

The West Delaware wrestling team will host their first double dual since Christmas break as they welcome in 7th ranked Williamsburg and South Tama tonight inside the Seedorff Gymnasium. The top ranked Hawks are a perfect 8-0 in dual meets including a 36-33 win over top ranked in class 1A Don Bosco last Thursday night, and are coming off a team title at the Perry Invitational last Saturday where they claimed five individual champions. The Hawks will open with South Tama, a team they lost only two matches against in a dual meet last season on their way to a 63-6 win.

The double dual finale will be a rematch of last season’s class 2A state dual title match between West Delaware and Williamsburg. The Hawks won both meetings between the two teams last year as they beat the Raiders 52-6 in the regular season, and won their second straight state dual title with a 53-9 victory.

Coverage of tonight’s dual will get underway around 7:00 with Roger Reed and Jamie Vaske exclusively on the KMCH sports video stream, by going to our website KMCH.com.
