An Arlington man led authorities on a high-speed chase following an assault on Wednesday morning.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they received a 911 call of an assault at a rural Arlington home. When deputies arrived, they found that a female had been seriously assaulted and her cell phone had been taken.
Deputies put out a call to located the vehicle of the suspect, 25-year old Blaine Recker of Arlington. When they found his vehicle, Recker eluded officers for several miles at a high rate of speed until he was found at a rural home near Lamont. He was taken into custody without incident.
Recker was arrested and faces several charges, including First Degree Robbery and Domestic Abuse Serious Assault, as well as Eluding and Possessing Methamphetamine and Marijuana.
