Marilyn Dee Wycoff, 87, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away with her family at her side, on Monday, May 17, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. She was born on January 19, 1934, in Cushing, the daughter of Charles and Vesta (Younglove) Knapp. She was raised and educated in the Cushing and Merrill areas and graduated from Liberty High School in Merrill in 1952. Marilyn then graduated from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1955 in Sioux City.
On October 19, 1957, Marilyn was united in marriage to Ray Wycoff in Sioux City. Three children were born to this union. Marilyn worked as a registered nurse at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City. In 1966 the family moved to Manchester. Marilyn was employed at the Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1996.
Marilyn was a longtime member of the Manchester United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Marilyn ran the Clothing Closet at the United Methodist church in Manchester. She liked playing cards, was an avid reader, and did crossword puzzles in ink. Marilyn enjoyed girls’ basketball and watching her granddaughter play volleyball at Cornell. She also enjoyed bus trips.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ray Wycoff of Manchester; her three children, Barbara (Dennis) Schnieders of Lexington, Kentucky, Kevin (Jennifer) Wycoff of Lexington, Kentucky, and Michael (Carmen) Wycoff of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren, Rachael (Stanton) Fodness of Culpeper, Virginia, Stephanie (Art) Hubbard of Paris, Kentucky, Tyler (Courtney) Schnieders of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Samuel Wycoff of St. Louis, Missouri, Nicholas Wycoff of Lexington, Kentucky, Lyndsey Wycoff of Des Moines, and Kaitlyn Wycoff of Mt. Vernon; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces and a nephew.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Beverly (Kenneth) Ballantyne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Helpings or The Clothing Closet in care of United Methodist Church.
Because of COVID-19, masks are required at the funeral home and at the church.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at the United Methodist Church in Manchester, with Rev. Phil Rogers officiating.
Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Interment: Oakland Cemetery – Manchester, Iowa
