The Farley Fire Department is celebrating its 100th anniversary this weekend.
The fire department originated in 1921 – and through all the changes over the past century, the department is still committed to ensuring the residents of Farley and surrounding rural communities remain safe and protected at all times.
The 100th Anniversary will be celebrated in downtown Farley this Saturday with numerous activities and family-fun events throughout the day. The day will begin with a parade throughout Farley at 11 am. And there will be a wide assortment of kids’ rides and bounce houses, a petting zoo, a pedal pull competition, live firefighting competitions, food stands and refreshments.
An open house will also be held at the Farley Fire Station, with the night culminating with live music on Main Street and a fireworks display.
