Delaware County Fair Kicks Off Today in Manchester

The Delaware County Fair kicks off today in Manchester.

And Fair Manager Jeannie Domeyer says they’re excited to be back.

This year’s Delaware County Fair theme is “All Star Lineup” and that’s exactly what they have planned for you, with entertainment including the Harlem Wizards Professional Basketball Game on Tuesday night, Amateur Tough Trucks and the “We Are Messengers” Christian concert on Wednesday night, the Jon Pardi country night concert on Thursday night, the ZZ Top rock night concert on Friday night, the Fantasy Truck & Tractor Pull on Saturday, the Draft Horse Show on Saturday and Sunday and the Demo Derby on Sunday afternoon.

Today, the fair starts off with free admission. 4-H and FFA members got their static projects judged in the pavilion – and 4-H and FFA shows began today too, with the Dog Show at 9:30 am, the Horse Show at noon, the Pen of Three Show at 4 pm and the Cow & Calf Show at 7 pm.

Tonight’s Delaware County Fair Parade starts at 7 pm – and Manchester Fire Chief Mike Ryan says this year’s parade will take its usual route through Manchester.

Line-up starts at 5:30 pm on Doctor Street, with tractors, semis and large farm equipment lining up on East Acres and Grand Streets. And firefighters will be collecting donations for the MDA.
