State Auditor Rob Sand was in Manchester on Friday morning to host a town hall meeting.
Over 30 people gathered in the shade at Shelly Park along the Whitewater Park to hear from Sand and ask him questions, with topics ranging from the state budget to unemployment to the Auditor’s PIE Program.
Sand, a Democrat who grew up in Decorah, served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Iowa Attorney General’s Office for seven years before being elected in 2018 as the State Auditor.
It’s been rumored that Sand is considering a run for Iowa governor. Sand told KMCH News Director Janelle Tucker on Friday that he has not made a decision yet, adding that campaigns are “too long”.
