Delaware County Holding Several Walk-in COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Delaware County Public Health will be hold a walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic every Wednesday for the rest of this month, as well as the first Wednesday in October.

The clinics will run from 1 to 4 pm today, as well as September 15th, September 22nd and September 29th, as well as October 6th.

No appointment is needed. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered, so anyone 12 and older is eligible. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them. Bring along the completed and signed COVID-19 Vaccine Consent Form – you can find that online at Park in LOT 1 and use Entrance B. Masks will be required.

Meanwhile, it’s not clear yet when booster shots for the COVID vaccine will become available in Delaware County. Last month, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced a plan to begin offering COVID-19 booster shots this fall for those who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Delaware County Public Health says while it’s anticipated that the booster doses will begin the week of September 20th, a firm date has not been set. Once the date is determined, those who are eight months past the date of their second dose of the COVID vaccine would become eligible for the booster dose.

Delaware County Public Health will share the COVID-19 booster start date and details as soon as it becomes available.
