Delaware County Public Health Serving as Drop-off Site for SHL At-Home COVID Test Kits

Starting today, Delaware County Public Health will be serving as a drop-off site for the free State Hygienic Lab At-Home COVID Test Kits during the winter months.

Samples cannot be frozen – so now that we’re entering the colder months, these completed test kits can no longer be dropped off at the outside UPS drop boxes.

Completed test kits can be dropped off at the RMC East Office Building at 613 W. Main St. in Manchester, Mondays through Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm. To ensure your test sample is delivered same-day to the State Hygienic Lab, your kit must be dropped off no later than 12 pm. If your kit is dropped off after 12 pm, it will be sent to the state lab the next business day.

When you arrive at the RMC East Office Building, wear a face mask and ring the outside doorbell and inform staff you are there to drop off a test kit to send to the state lab.

You can find alternate drop-off locations at testiowa.com.

Just a reminder – these free State Hygienic Lab At-Home COVID Test Kits are not rapid tests. Results are typically available via email in 3 to 5 days. Your healthcare provider will not have the results – they are emailed to you.

If you need a free State Hygienic Lab At-Home COVID Test Kit, you can pick them up at the RMC East Office Building, 613 W. Main St., Manchester, Monday-Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Contact Delaware County Public Health with any questions at 927-7551.
