The Delaware County Board of Supervisors met Monday.
The Board approved several agenda items, including the Snow Pioneer’s Snowmobile Trail Map for the winter season. They also approved a step increase in pay for Delaware County Deputy Matt Menard, who will be completing 12 years of service in January – he will now make 80.5% of the Sheriff’s salary. And they approved the resignation of Secondary Roads maintenance employee Dean Dempster, thanking him for his years of service.
And County Engineer Anthony Bardgett provided several road and bridge updates. He says the 285th Street Bridge replacement has been completed, with the road opened to traffic last week. Crack sealing on D5X and Hartwick Road has also wrapped up. And Bardgett says they were notified last week that the County’s application for a federal grant to help pay for the X31 bridge project at Lake Delhi was unsuccessful. They were seeking about $3.5 million, which would have covered over half the cost of the project. He says they’ll keep pursuing other grant opportunities.
